Petrovietnam Chairman of Board of Directors visits and works with China National Offshore Oil Corporation

On 25th June in Beijing, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Son, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Petrovietnam and Mr. Yang Hua, President of China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) had a meeting on promotion of cooperation between the two Groups.

This is a practical step to realize the agreement between the two Parties and the two Governments on strengthening bilateral political, economic cooperation as well as promoting the strength of two large oil and gas groups in the region.

Petrovietnam and CNOOC are the two national oil and gas groups with many similarities. They share and learn experiences, enhance trust and understanding, promote close cooperation on the basis of comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and China, according to international practice and laws on oil and gas cooperation.

Both sides are aware that the increased cooperation between Petrovietnam and CNOOC will contribute to further strengthening and enhancing long-term traditional friendship between the two Parties, Governments and people of the two countries.
