DQS organized Conference to review the business production plan in 2011 and implement the business production plan in 2012
In the afternoon of 05 January 2012, Dung Quat Shipyard organized the 2011Employee Conference to review the business production plan in 2011 and implement the business production plan in 201. Attending the Conference are Mr. Hoang Xuan Hung – deputy chairman of Petrovietnam Board of Directors, Mr. Vu Quang Nam, Nguyen Xuan Son - Deputy General Director of Petrovietnam and leader representatives from departments of Petrovietnam.
At the Conference, Mr. Tran Hoai An, General Director of Dung Quat Shipyard (DQS) reported on the results of production and business activities in 2011 and business production plan in 2012.
Accordingly, in 2011, DQS met many difficulties and challenges. DQS is a new member transferred to the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group with key tasks of quickly build a stable organization, complete management system, arrange work and ensure income for employees. Under the sound leadership and support of the Group and with the best effort of DQS Leaders, staffs, in 2011 DQS has initially gained encouraging achievements as completing and delivery over 08 repairing products to customers: Truong Sa, Con Son, VSP-05, Ba Vi, Eagle, Sao mai 01, Horizon, Sao Mai 03. Besides, DQS have launched successfully PVT MERCURY 104.000DWT crude oil tanker, put in using 01 Dung Quat tug boat, continue to build the 105.000DWT Crude Oil Tanker. DQS also has received three large tonnage crane vessels from VIETSOVPETRO J.V. as Hoang Sa, Con Son and Truong Sa in dock for repairing and converting, which initially confirms that DQS is on the right path towards stability and development. towards stability and development. In 2011, DQS has made an effort to expand market, actively access foreign partners such as Korea, Japan, Russia, Venezuela, Malaysia ... to seek opportunities for business cooperation.
DQS has also built, issued and applied the Quality Management System ISO 9001:2008 into constructing and executing the business production plan.
On this occasion, DQS leaders awarded certificates of merit to 33 progressive labor teams, 18 excellent individuals and nearly 900 progressive labor individuals in 2011.

At the Conference, DQS Leaders and Managers have signed the covenant for emulation, determination to complete the business production plan in 2012, such as:
- Striving for emulation in working, production under absolutely safety condition, ensure environmental hygiene, practice thrift and non-wasting; complete and over-fulfill the schedule, quality assurance of all construction items and priority productions.
- Emulating to good working, promote technical innovations, increase the useful time, increase labour productivity, comply with the regulations on quality management and technical processes.
- Care for improving the material and spiritual living conditions, ensure regular work, stable income, improve the living standard for staffs.
- Use up all resources, coordinate closely amonng departments to complete the assigned tasks.
- Ensure the best conditions for producing from design, setting up bid package to material supply.
- Production: Speed up schedule for delivery some products: 104K cruel oil Tanker in 03/2012, 105K cruel oil Tanker in 12/2012. Strive to finish repairing and converting vessels as Truong Sa, Con Son, Hoang Sa in the first quarter of 2012. Work with Vietsovpetro to sign the contract of building the 01 Service Vessel. Promote to cooperate with Japanese partner to sign the contract of building the 56.000DWT vessel. Deploy to sign repairing contracts as Tam Dao, VSP-01, PV Drilling I, JU Murmanskay…Continue to seek for orders of fabrication, repairing, conversion, new-building. Cooperate with Korea for Semi-sub building for Vietsovpetro. Negotiate with Japanese delegation for project of oil stockpiling Mega-Floating system in Vietnam.
- Investment: Finish the Staff Canteen and Admin Office. Complete installation of 450T crane. Complete purchasing and investing for Station No.2-Dung Quat Port.
- Social Security: arrange work, enhance the welfare for employees, support social charity activities, campaigns of gratitude, helping the poor, disaster & flood relief…
