DQS signed the contract with Vietsovpetro for building 02 service ships (AHTS)

In the morning of 21st March, 2014 at the office of Petrovietnam (PVN), in the conference about Service and Procurement Management, Dung Quat Shipbuilding Industry Company Ltd. (DQS) signed the contract with Vietsovpetro for building 02 service ships (AHTS), 12000 HP.

According to the contract contract for newbuilding 02 service ships signed with Vietsovpetro,  , DQS will build two new multipurpose service ships ( AHTS ) with length of about 76 m , capacity of 12,000 horsepower, towing capacity of about 150 tons . Ships have functions of towing, drop anchor , rescue, against oil spilling and offshore fire fighting; high automation capability such as auto navigation, auto global positioning (DP II), automatic control devices on board ... This is the first time DQS build service ships under modern design, meeting the latest requirements of international oil and gas company in the world. The signed contract marks a significant progress in capacity of DQS, opening up new opportunities in newbuilding, access demand in the region. In addition, ability of petroleum operations of VSP is also significantly enhanced when receiving the two ships after 24 months.
