PetroVietnam Exploration Production Corporation (PVEP) Leaders worked with DQS

On 19th Mar,2014, the delegation of PetroVietnam Exploration Production Corporation (PVEP) Leaded by Mr. Do Van Khanh, General Director had a meeting with Dung Quat Shipbuilding Industry Company Ltd. (DQS) for the implementation of conversion the 105K crude oil tanker to FSO for Dai Hung field and test capability to repair the Dai Hung rig in DQS dock. Mr. Nguyen Huu Hai - Deputy General Director of PVEP, PVEP-POC leaders, PVTrans leaders also accompanied with the delegation. Mr. Ta Duc Tien - DQS Chairman, Mr. Huynh Van Dieu - Deputy General Director, Department Managers welcomed the delegation.

On behalf of the company, Mr. Ta Duc Tien – DQS Chairman reported on the implementation of 105K conversion to FSO, the existing problems and solutions to achieve conversion progress and timely delivery the FSO for Dai Hung Field.

After visiting the company, inspecting the status of converting the 105K crude oil tanker to FSO, Mr. Do Van Khanh, General Director of PVEP shared DQS difficulties in recent years: not co-investments, no pier, financial difficulties, difficulties in searching for market, young employees ... However, with the current infrastructure, modern management system , enthusiasm, dedication of all staffs, he believes that DQS can repair/building vessels, rigs, floating means. He also stressed that PVEP will consider letting Dai Hung rig and other products be repaired at DQS.
